Battery terminals over a period of time will corrode and will become unsafe. Replacing terminals must be done safely and correctly. If you are unsure how your terminals are performing, call in and see us and we will check these for you and if required fit new ones while you wait. FREE BATTERY INSTALLATION SERVICE
When you purchase your new battery from GK’S, it can be installed while you wait in-store. This is a free service provided for your convenience. Memory batteries are used to save you the inconvenience of having to reset your radio and clock. Once installed, the alternator is checked to ensure the car’s charging system is fully operational. If, in the unfortunate situation where you cannot start your car to bring it into the shop, we offer a call-out service and we can come to you. (There is a call out fee charged for this service)
24HR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
GK’S Batteries is a family-owned and operated business so, we know how important your family is to you and their safety. You would like them to get to their destination on time without battery hassles. We offer a 24HR roadside assist service to our Toowoomba and surrounding area customers. Just give us a call, anytime day or night and one of our experienced friendly staff will be there to help. Reasonable after-hours rates do apply for this service.
JUMP STARTS
Sometimes in our busy schedule, we leave our vehicles and forget to turn off the lights or maybe not close the door properly and our battery gets drained leaving us with not enough power to start the vehicle. If you have not long replaced your battery or for some other reason cannot replace your battery at this time and you require a jump start to get you going GK’S Batteries offer this as a service. Fee’s do apply for this call-out service.

FREE BATTERY CHECK
To ensure your battery is performing correctly, we offer a free onsite battery and alternator check. Upon inspection by one of our friendly staff we can determine whether your battery needs replacing or simply needs to be recharged. We will also check your alternator and make sure it is providing enough charge to your battery.
If you require a new battery our staff members will discuss your options with you to provide you with a battery to suit your vehicles requirements.
If your alternator is not charging we will discuss your options of having one fitted so your battery will receive the charge it needs to keep performing to a high standard.

Unsure of when the last time you had your battery tested. That’s OK. Leave it up to GK’S to remind you about having your battery tested every six months. Once we have tested your battery you are supplied with a service sticker dated when your battery will be due to be tested. This acts as a reminder and also as an added bonus we will take 10% off the price of a new battery when the time arrives, so don’t forget to ask for your service sticker for your windscreen today.
